CAUTION: Be sure glass is completely cooled before cleaning the lamp chimney or the glass may shatter.
Please allow at least 15-20 minutes of cooling time before handling the glass.
- We recommend hand washing in warm soapy water using a soft bottle brush.
- Rinse very well and dry completely before using.
- Be very sure to remove all soap residue with a clear final rinse.
- Dry right away to avoid water spots.
Alternatively you can clean a dry chimney with twisted up newspaper or paper towel.
A chimney that is not clean, or has not been fully rinsed with clean water after washing, can produce some smoke.
A clean glass chimney is important to the function of your Danforth oil lamp.
